Neat little game, short and sweet which is nice because while it doesn't bring a ton of amazing new features to the table, the game doesn't drag on too long so those spikes and springs aren't an eyesore after a while. Also it's in the Halloween spirit so I'm automatically on board with it

Nice work!

gamer time

Damn I wasnt expecting an actual real proper game

Touched my heart

Nice game, but hard as balls. I really enjoy the music and the art, it goes really well together, did a stellar job on that front. In terms of gameplay I'm assuming it's supposed to be as hard as it is giving the tags on the game.

A few minor criticisms I have are how quickly the little guy moves. I'll tap the right key and go a lot farther than I would've liked, it can be pretty hard to control the character at times. Another thing is how the patterns are a little inconsistent as to how complex or simple they are as the level goes on, it feels a bit weird collection a small group of coins in the centre and then collecting more along the borders of the level so quickly.

Last thing I want to mention is how some of the flying blue orbs explode and how some just fly off of the screen. I think it'd be cool if the exploding orbs were a different colour, just to give the game that little extra bit of a learning curve instead of having the players try to act on a whim which can be pretty difficult considering the first critique I gave.

Overall a really nice little game, you guys did the music and graphics justice but I think the gameplay could still be finetuned and go a long way from what it is right now

Really neat game. The isometric aspect of the game was a bit awkward to get the hand of for me but I got it down after a bit. The difficulty progression is near perfect apart from the amount of levels with the rotary blades that keep you moving. Whilst I think they're a great addition to the game they can really take away from the great experience I was having previously, but then again it's replaced with another form of difficulty that offers a nice rush when you complete a level.

It's more of a personal thing than anything but I'd appreciate a difficulty selection in a sense, as well as maybe a speedrunner mode? Such as designing levels in such a way where the cannons and spinning axes can be dodged if you attempt to complete the level in an optimal time? Maybe even have a practice mode where you can set the speed of the rotary blades that chase you? Just a few basic ideas is all.

Overall the game has an absolute ton of potential and I could definitely see this being a cool game that could gather a speedrunning community of sorts, great stuff!

Nice little game, mechanics are really neat. At times it was a bit confusing to know where to... *ahem*.. Kill yourself... And ultimately led me to decide not to finish the game but I enjoyed the time I put into it, nice one!

The game looks nice, and I like the general concept of it but like others have said, the controls are really what brings this game down. It's not too bad in the earlier levels but when you have to be quicker in the later levels and pull off combos of moves it gets really frustrating.

This is a very *hands-on* experience haha

I think this game has a really neat concept. It is pretty difficult although I feel as though the game relies too heavily on the idea that if you mess up you'll usually just reach the bottom. As well as that, metroidvanias usually have multiple branching paths, and in this game it seems like one continuous straight path. Metroidvanias tend to have a really light puzzle aspect but that aspect seems to be thrown out the window for this game.

Another thing to note is that it would be a neat idea if the icons on the powerups had maybe a bit of flavour text to them, I didn't initally realise what the grab technique was for until I messed around for a bit. Additionally, it could be neat if you initially had a safe environment to get used to the new technique, the first grab being something that you will start from the beginning if you mess it up feels a bit cheap imo.

That being said the artstyle is pretty neat, sound effects could be tweaked a bit, had to mute it after a while because it was getting a bit annoying. Overall I really liked the concept of the game and I hope you're able to make something out of it
